Basswood Lodge started in 1997 as a family run business and continues to be today. Everyone on my team is a part of my extended family. We are truly blessed to live this life and we take nothing for granted. I grew up hunting, fishing, and trapping the marshes and rivers of the St. Lawrence River Valley. From a young age my parents taught me the value of a good days work. I have taken this mentality and applied it to everything I have done in life. We own a lot of ground and have exclusive access to the most productive ground that exists here. I expect everyone on my team to have the same work ethic I have. I can promise you no grass grows between our toes while trying to give you the experience you came here to get. I have built a crew of professional waterfowl guides who take every aspect of the business as seriously as I do. Not many outfitters these days have as much skin in the game as we do.

Experience Overview

We start hunting spring snow geese late February and run through March into early April. We hunt over very large decoy spreads and out of comfortable, well concealed blinds. The snow goose game can change rapidly every day and we will do what makes the most sense on any given day to kill geese. Our spring snow goose season allows for the use of e-callers and unplugged shotguns - which can hold a maximum of 7 rounds.
